History
Wysox Sand and Gravel was begun in 1970 by Sonny Warburton and his father in-law, William Estell. However, the fledgling business nearly didn't make it. Just two years later, Hurricane Agnes struck and the Susquehanna River rose to a historic thirty-three feet and submerged Wysox Sand and Gravel's equipment. Fortunately, for the community of Wysox, Wysox Sand and Gravel managed to stay afloat and grow in the years to come. By the 1990's, Wysox Sand and Gravel had expanded to include over a dozen employees and it is still flourishing today.
